The Key To Manifesting Your Dream Reality Using Thought
“The words you speak become the house you live in” -Hafiz
There is a common saying in the world of spirituality that goes “You are not your thoughts”
The more I think about it, the more I have the tendency to disagree.
“You are not your thoughts” … but your life can be a result of them.
The story you tell yourself informs the way you view the world. It influences the way you see yourself. It does create your perception of reality.
If you walk around saying to yourself; “I have such bad luck”. That will be what will be mirrored in your life. You won’t find the parking spot. You’ll spill your blueberry smoothie on your white linen pants while you’re rushing out the door in the morning. You’ll lose your favourite pair of earrings (like, gone gone, not just ‘misplaced’).
You are your thoughts.
I asked my close friend while we were driving together in a busy part of town, “Do you think we’ll even be able to find parking?” She replied back to me with absolute certainty “Oh, we’ll find parking. I ALWAYS find good parking.”
She spoke with such conviction that it became her mirrored experience. Time and time again.
Let’s go a bit deeper. What about when you have thoughts that are linked to low self worth or worst-case-scenario thinking during times when you’re really going through it. What then? If you are your thoughts, do you become those negative thoughts just because you think them?
You are inherently worthy. Without doubt or question. But if you tell yourself repeatedly that you’re not good enough…then yes, that will show up in your life. In a multitude of ways. It is your job to transform the way you view yourself. Through the lens of highest potential, love, and care.
In meditation especially people like to say “Observe your thoughts like clouds. They come and they go. Don’t attach yourself to them”
But your thoughts can tell you SO much about yourself. Observe them. Learn from them. Surrender into stillness. And in your waking life - the time spent booked & busy - which, let’s be real, is where we spend most of our time anyways - work to change your repetitive thought patterns. Gently, but actively. That is where the real change lies.
So; become attached to the outcome your thoughts are providing for you. And if you don't like that outcome, become attached to changing it.
Start saying to yourself things along the lines of; “I am so lucky and good things are drawn to me naturally”. You will be amazed at what you find. A $20 bill on the street. The friend who calls out of the blue to tell you how much she loves you. A series of green lights on your way into work. And yes, the ideal parking spot.
And when things don’t go your way? You’ll say “I am still so lucky. Because now I’m being redirected to an even better, even luckier end result”
What do you believe to be true? About yourself and the world? And where can you flip the switch? Magnetizing more of what you want towards you…as opposed to embodying thoughts that do not serve the future you wish to see.
Tell me your contradictions in the comment section below. I will personally help you reframe that repetitive thought so that you can manifest a better reality for yourself.
