Meet Your Meditation Teacher, me!

I love these little blog style meet & greets that I see on the internet so I wanted to recreate one! Maybe you’ve been meditating with me for a while, maybe you’re new. Regardless, hey! I’m glad you stopped by :)

Here are my current obsessions and a snippet of my meditation backstory…

How I got into meditation —

Alzheimer’s disease directly impacted an immediate family member of mine. It deeply influenced my childhood & home life growing up. I would say that living through that experience has one hundred percent shaped my beliefs and has largely contributed to the person I am today. Brain health is something that’s important to me, as well as emotional wellness. Having tools to cope with tragedies you can’t understand, and a way to navigate daily stressors with a little more ease. This is why I meditate.

Why I teach —

Oooh boy. Because I love it. What other reason could there be!? I love connecting with people and I love hearing stories of how meditation has moved, inspired, or positively impacted them in some way. It lights me up. I have to stop now, because my eyes are literally tearing up while writing this thinking of meditation clients I have/have had haha. It’s my passion. No other way to explain it other than that. 

Current morning meditation —

21 minutes and 11 seconds daily. I set a timer on my iPhone. I do it unguided. Just me and a mantra I love.


First job —

Receptionist at an organic spa. I was 15. I adored it. Loved answering the phone and learning about natural skin care. It’s your biggest organ, your skin. What we put onto it gets absorbed into our bloodstream. Harsh chemicals = endocrine + nervous system disruptors. Not super cool. Hence the importance of clean products. Lol, can you tell I geek out about this stuff?

Disclaimer, I only have 5 on my shelf. I opt for simplicity in this area.

Coffee order —

I don’t typically drink coffee. No reason in particular, just neither of my parents drank it so I wasn’t exposed to it at home. Oat milk chai lattes are where it’s at for me. Preferably from Les Saisons , the local coffee shop in the town I grew up in.

Astrology sign —

Sorry, I had to haha. Aries sun, Cancer moon, Pisces rising.


Top 3 all time favourite restaurant orders (Ottawa, Canada region)…


Typical breakfast —

Avo toast + some sort of health concoction (Four Sigmatic mushroom mix, green juice, smoothie, etc.)


Biggest comfort —

My sister, Skye.

One of my dreams —

To own a little property near the ocean!

Currently watching —

Love Island (the UK version). This show is my religion and I have no shame. I only know one other person who loves this series as much as I do so please, if you are a fan, comment below or email me. I’m not even kidding. It is imperative that I know who your favourites are. My all time fav couples to come out of it were Olivia & Alex (season 2) and Camila & Jamie (season 3). I mean, they are both married with kids. QUALITY television. My dream job (apart from teaching you meditation) would probably be to be a casting director for this show.
