My Go-To Meditative Morning Routines

 


  1. Meditate

    You know me, babe, so this goes without saying! You can check out this free 11-minute Morning Meditation in my meditation library. Practicing in the morning is a beautiful way to set the foundation for the rest of your day and it helps you move forward with a little more clarity, gratitude & intention.

  2. Move

    I try to get outside every morning (regardless of the weather). Natural light is so good for you & can actually increase serotonin levels, while supporting your circadian rhythm to help you sleep better at night. My movement routines are constantly changing but lately I’ve been loving Pilates and walks/hikes in the woods or along the water. It can help clear your mind & get the energy flowing for a productive day. Not to mention, that way you can totally chill out at night knowing that you’ve already done something to take care of your beautiful body.


  3. Water Therapy

    This step I swear by! I’ve always been a water baby & am grateful to live near a lake. If you’re not by a natural body of water, don’t stress because you can absolutely use your shower or bathtub as a substitute. There have been scientific studies that show how being near water triggers neurochemicals that support wellness and relaxation. Simply hearing or feeling water against your skin has the ability to slow down your brainwaves which takes you into a meditative state without even trying too hard to get there. Since I live by a lake, I go in the water daily (even when the temperature drops) and my day is made a million times better when I do it first thing.   4. Hydrate

    Hydration is key to glowing skin and feeling your best! In addition to water. I like to throw other nourishing drinks into the mix in the am. Here are a few of my favs! I don’t make all of these drinks every morning (because, that would just be insane) BUT my one non-negotiable in the morning is my apple cider vinegar “shot” (listed below). Just remember to listen to your body! Although I’m sharing these recipes - what works for me may not work for you.


    Antioxidant + Liver Cleanse

    Water

    1 - 2 tsp apple cider vinegar

    * Take first thing in the morning, ideally 30 minutes before breakfast


    Celery Juice

    Organic celery

    * If you don’t have a juicer, add a bit of water & celery in a blender. Once semi-blended, transfer it to a straining bag and strain the rest manually to form juice

    * Ideally, drink on an empty stomach


    Brain Boost Smoothie

    1 cup frozen blueberries,

    1 cup milk alternative of choice

    1 banana

    Heaping tsp spirulina

    Heaping tbsp almond butter


    Chaga Hot Chocolate

    I’m not a big coffee drinker so when I crave something warm in the morning, this is my go-to!

    Four Sigmatic Mushroom elixir mix

    Milk alternative of choice

    Maple syrup

    Cinnamon

    Coconut Oil
